| Four hours of class each day. This program is appropriate for those wanting to learn Spanish quickly, and is suitable for adults of all ages. Schedule: 8A-12N, Monday through Friday Includes: Homestay with private bedroom, daily breakfast & dinner while at the homestay, all course materials, coffee and fresh fruit while at school. |

Same program as both Immersion Programs, except the Language Only programs do not include homestay. For those students who prefer to stay in a hotel, we can arrange nearby hotels within your budget.

Course Levels:
Beginning Level I
- No previous Spanish knowledge
Beginning Level II
Beginning Level III
- Possess some vocabulary and use of present tense
Intermediate I
- Able to use present, past and future tenses with an extended vocabulary
Intermediate II
- Able to use imperfect, conditional tenses, and a comfortable level of comprehension
Advanced I
- Proven comprehension and sufficient oral skills to communicate ideas in most situations. A good understanding and use of the Indicative mood.
Advanced II
- Some knowledge of the subjunctive mood, enhanced oral and comprehensive skills, and an expanded vocabulary
High Advanced
- Possess advanced communication skills and the ability to use both the indicative and subjunctive moods with relative comfort.
Specialized Courses:
These specialized courses are designed for students who have a minimum level of Intermediate II
Latin American Literature
- Study famous literary writers from Costa Rica and Central America
Spanish for Spanish teachers
- Brush-up courses for elementary & high school Spanish teachers whose first language is not Spanish.
Medical Spanish
- Designed for third year and higher medical students, vocabulary building and patient interviews. Includes extra hours at the public hospital.
Business Spanish
- General business, manufacturing and financial sector vocabulary building including insurance, real estate, and some legal terminology.
Legal Spanish
- Emphasis given to building strong legal vocabulary in both criminology and civil legal matters. Includes time with local legal professionals and at the courthouse.
Young People Programs:
Spanish Courses for teenagers (ages 13-16):
- Classes are from 8A-11A, with one hour of supervised recreation or field trip from 11A-12N with their teacher. Students use the same class materials as those for the adult programs.
Spanish-on-Wheels Teen Summer Program
- All Teen 7-day Spanish language vacation visiting Arenal Volcano, Manuel Antonio and Palo Verde national parks, includes accommodations, all meals, tours, beach activities and more. Morning classes and afternoon excursions. Fully escorted with one teacher guide for every four students. Ask for details.

Spanish Courses for children (ages 9-12):
- Classes are from 8A-11A, with one hour of recreation or field trip from 11A-12N with their teacher. Course materials are specially designed for children of this age.
Methodology:
Our Spanish classes focus on addressing the personal needs of the student. The 2 to 1 student teacher ratio has proven to expedite the learning process. Our teaching approach is dynamic and while grammar is an essential part of the learning process, building conversational skills is absolute foremost.
Students are placed according to their level and abilities with a written and oral test.
